When the Jars Are Full

Psalm 56:8-9 (NLT)
“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side!”
Devoción
Every word we whisper in prayer, and every tear we shed in pain, is noticed by God. The psalmist reveals a touching truth: God not only listens but also keeps a record of our tears. He gathers them as precious treasures, storing them in heavenly jars that testify to our faith and perseverance. Worship rises before Him as a sweet fragrance, but prayers are collected, preserved, and remembered until the appointed time—when their answers overflow.
Consider a child who longs for a piece of sweet cake. The child cries again and again, and though the sound may seem like a disturbance, the parent cannot ignore it. Eventually, love compels the parent to stop whatever they are doing and respond to the child’s need. That is how persistence in prayer works. Our Father is moved not by the noise of our words, but by the sincerity of our hearts and the consistency of our pursuit.
Heaven keeps a record. Each prayer adds a drop to the bottle—each tear, another sign of trust. When those jars are full, the heavens pour forth the answers we have been waiting for. Therefore, do not grow weary in prayer. Keep praying until your jars overflow. Even when it feels as though nothing is changing, know that something is being stored—and one day, the God who sees your tears will answer in His perfect time.

Querido Padre Celestial,
In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me? I must perform my vows to you, O God; I will render thank offerings to you. For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life. (Psalm 56:10-13) In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

We can confidently pray the promises of God, knowing they are His will. We can pray in Jesus’ name for today’s verse to be fulfilled over each challenging situation—for ourselves as well as for other followers of Jesus. Pastor Franklin reminded us to pray for believers around the world who are facing natural disasters or murderous opposition because of their faith.
