Walking With Your Mess
Sunday, May 7
John 9:6-7
When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.
Devoción
After Jesus put the mud on the blind man’s eyes, the man had to walk for a little bit with the muddy mess to get to the pool of Siloam to wash himself. He had to stumble around to get to the place where the true miracle would happen (the restoration of his sight).
Many of us are going through trials or seasons where we too cannot see past the mess that is covering us, and we have to walk for a while carrying our mess. We often confuse the process of the mess with the promises of God. There are seasons where we must go through trials to get to what God has promised us. Behind the mess that we are currently walking with, there is a miracle from heaven that is waiting for us. Trust in God’s promises for your life even if you don’t understand the current circumstances that you are walking through.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
Your word tells me that even though weeping may endure for a night, joy comes in the morning. I thank you that my morning is coming. A day when the mess I see today will turn into a miracle. You are able, I trust you and I walk boldly into my miracle. Amen!
