Jesus is Our Stairway to Heaven

“He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”
Devoción
Jesus is our stairway to heaven. But just as the angels go up and down, we will also have ups and downs as we are also ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). Jesus left His throne in heaven to come to earth as a baby, growing into a man who would be rejected and crucified. The angels obediently depart from the presence of God the Father and God the Son to descend to earth to serve those called to Jesus. In the same way, even though we are seated with Jesus in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), God puts us through ups and downs to keep us humble and help us serve those to whom we are sent.
Jesus didn't reach down to us. He came down to us. And then He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. The holy angels don't reach down to us; they come down to us. So when God sends us, we're not called to reach down to others—God sends us to where they are. But we need to consistently get back up, just as Jesus and the angels get back up, to set a more visible example for what is possible in Jesus. We can always get back up through Jesus, who strengthens us. Our testimony means much more when we are living parables and living examples. Many of our neighbors need to see us climbing in trust on Jesus as our stairway to heaven. What do you need to get back up from today? How can your example and testimony encourage others to get back up?
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
I want to thank You for coming to me and lifting me out of the pit of despair. For You are the lifter of my head, and You set my feet on solid ground. You steady me, making my footsteps secure. As You strengthen me, use my life to be a testimony of truth to help others get back up from where they have fallen. And to You be all the glory. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Our deliverance is not just for us, but for those who are watching around us. Make an intentional effort to continually move forward in your walk with Christ. Even when you fall, make a habit to get up quickly. The Lord will sustain you. The world does not need to see a perfect Christian, but one who has been forgiven, and thriving because of His love.
