Monuments men were called by then President Eisenhower to preserve the art and culture of the times decimated by war and destruction. They were men risking their lives to preserve the national treasures of the world.
Men today are also called by God to protect your treasures - your family, your wife, your children and your grandchildren. Believe in the truth and in our Lord Jesus Christ. The family needs to be appreciated, valued and meant to be protected. Be a family that loves one another, worship together and pray together. Say to the devil: “You are not taking my precious treasure. I will never, ever let you kill, steal and destroy my family.” Be a Monuments man that will guard your treasure.
Thank God for men that come to church and worship God. Every man should be committed to the family, provide for the family and protect the family. Men likewise should resist sexual immorality. They should be men of integrity and character. Make this your declaration: “I am a family man. I’m married and I act like it. I have little eyes watching me.”
After a battle, the Monuments men would record and report the condition of the treasures. They had to do an assessment of the assault. Likewise, every family goes through battles. Every family has things happen that change everything. But it is the responsibility of the Monuments men to go into the battlefield, make an assessment, record and report the condition after the battle. If life hits and it will hit, don’t give up. Don’t throw in the towel. Don’t say that we’re so blown to pieces that we’ll never be whole again. The miracle is in what’s left.
And they had to supervise the emergency repair work if needed. They had to ensure that no further damage was incurred on the national treasure. Assess the damage after the battle, supervise emergency repair, work and ensure that no further damage be done to that treasure.
Miracles are going to come out of the mess, In Jesus’ name. Men, you are guardians of great treasures. You are not alone. Be a family man - whose children will respect and admire; whose wife will honor and submit to; whose influence will empower others to obey God. “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” (Proverbs 18:22).
Today's Prayer
Querido Padre Celestial,
Enable me to be a man after Your own heart. Help me to love my wife as she needs to be loved. To see my wife as a blessing and I obtain Favor. You hear my prayers when I treat my wife right and when I treasure her like a monument man. When I fight for her, when I go to emergency situations, when my family goes through the fire, I will not quit. I will not bail out. I will stand with my family. I’m a family man. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

We all go through difficult situations in life. But there is reason to be hopeful, even after devastating storms, earthquakes, famines, drought or even a loss of a loved one. When we stand united in Christ and believe in his enabling grace to see us through, standing firm in faith, we are assured of beauty from ashes. When there is unity in the family, the Lord brings favor and protects His own.
