There Is Joy Ahead Of You

Sunday, June 16

Jude 1:24-25 (NIV)
“To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”
Devoción
You might be going through some rough times now. It may seem like there is no end to it. We are encouraged to realize that our victories often come after difficulties. Trials come that test our faith and reveal whether it is genuine. Jesus has promised to be with us and help us. Scripture says that Jesus was tempted in every way, just as we are, and yet was without sin. He understands what we are going through. We don't have to pretend that we are all right with Him. He has promised the Holy Spirit to those who belong to him to teach, strengthen, and guide. Remember, this world is not our home.

Jesus wants to present us pure and spotless before God, the Father. In order for that to happen we need to go through trials and hardships for His image to be seen in us. Like the song says,”It Will be Worth it All When We See Jesus.” Everything will be forgotten when we see Him. There will be no more tears or sorrow there. Press on, my friend, and don't quit or give up. Heaven is right around the corner.

Querido Padre Celestial,

I thank You that You are able to keep me from stumbling by the precious blood that Jesus bled from his feet to heal my stumbling and backsliding walk. I thank You for Your promise to provide a way out from every temptation I face. I confess that I often fall into sin before I think to look for Your way out or plead the blood of Jesus not to stumble. So I pray for help from Your Holy Spirit to show me how to avoid paths to temptation and to remind me to ask for and look for the way out You provide. I look forward to being presented to You without fault and with great joy.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Did you catch the part of today’s verse that says it is Him – our Lord and savior Jesus Christ – who is able to keep us from stumbling? You do not have to do this in your own strength! Praise the Lord! They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Receive His shaping of your character as you go. And at the end, “great joy!”
