Acts 2:38-39 (NKJV)

“Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

Devoción

The name of Jesus is known all over the world. It is spoken in prayers, songs, and conversations every day. Yet many use His name without truly understanding the power and authority it carries. Some speak it casually, others in moments of desperation, and some even in vain. But the name of Jesus is not a phrase or a charm—it is the name through which salvation, freedom, and life are given.

When a person truly comes to know Jesus—not just His name, but His power, love, and sacrifice—everything changes. The name of Jesus holds more weight than any other name in history. His life and resurrection did not merely affect individuals; they shifted nations and continue to transform hearts across generations.

In Acts 2, Peter reminds us that the promise of salvation begins with repentance and obedience. Through Jesus, our sins are forgiven, and we are invited into new life. This promise was not limited to those standing there that day—it extends to their children and to all who are far off. That includes us.

Though we may experience suffering, uncertainty, or trials in this world, we can rejoice in one unshakable truth: Jesus has already won the victory. This life is not the end; our hope is eternal, secured through His name.

Jesus did not leave us to walk this journey alone. He gave us the Holy Spirit—our Comforter, Helper, and guide. Through the Spirit, we are strengthened, equipped, and reminded that we are never abandoned. No matter what we face, we have everything we need in Him.

So today, hold fast to the name of Jesus. Rejoice in the truth that the only name that saves is also the name that stays. Jesus is our hope, our Savior, and our everything—yesterday, today, and forever.

Querido Padre Celestial,

Thank You for the powerful and precious name of Jesus. I confess that at times I have spoken this name casually or without understanding its authority. Forgive me, Lord, and teach me to honor Your name in all I do. Help me to fully grasp the power, love, and victory that come through Jesus. Fill me with the Holy Spirit so that I may walk in obedience, proclaim Your name boldly, and experience the fullness of life You have promised. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
