The Fast: DAY 12
Thursday, January 15
Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Devoción
Vision is God’s way of pulling us forward into everything He has prepared for us. When God gives vision, He is not teasing us—He is inviting us. Vision awakens faith, fuels endurance, and gives purpose to our prayers and sacrifices, especially during a fast.
Many of the dreams and ideas God places deep within us are not random thoughts or wishful thinking. They are seeds planted by God Himself. These seeds carry divine intention. When we dare to believe Him for what He has shown us—when we water those seeds with faith, prayer, and obedience, God is faithful to bring them to pass in His time.
Pastor Jentezen reminded us this past Sunday that the very building we worship in today was once nothing more than a vision, acres of empty land. What we now see did not begin with brick and mortar; it began with vision, faith, and persistent prayer. Over and over, the prayer was released: “grace, grace.” And God responded. What looked impossible became reality.
This fast is not just about what we are laying down, it’s also about what God wants to lift up within us. Now is the time to get a vision. Ask God to clarify what He has placed on the inside of you. Don’t shrink it. Don’t dismiss it. Don’t talk yourself out of it. Instead, stir your faith and boldly speak “grace, grace” over it.
What are you believing God for during this fast? Speak life over it. Declare “grace, grace” over your marriage, your family, your calling, your healing, your finances, your future. Vision gives direction, and faith gives momentum.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
Thank You for being a God who gives vision. Open my eyes to see what You have placed within me. I choose to believe that the dreams You’ve given me are seeds from You. Today, I speak grace, grace over every promise, every calling, and every area I’m believing You for. Strengthen my faith as I fast and trust You to bring it to pass. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Read Habakkuk 2:2-3, write down one vision God has placed on your heart, something you are believing Him for during this fast. Pray over it and speak out loud: “Grace, grace.” Return to it throughout the day, reminding yourself that what God begins, He is faithful to complete.
