Searching For Streaks

“When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give you as a possession, and I put the leprous plague in a house in the land of your possession, and he who owns the house comes and tells the priest, saying, ‘It seems to me that there is some plague in the house,’”
Devoción
God has given us our homes; He has blessed us with a house, a dwelling. Our duty is to
regularly inspect for plagues/contamination in our dwelling. What is going on within the walls of your house? How are things progressing in your house? Without asking questions and shining a searchlight within our homes, within ourselves, we will never be able to determine our current condition. Your doctor asks questions to determine a course of healing when something in your body is off or not in alignment.
In construction, abatement tests are often conducted before any construction begins. Examination for the presence of asbestos or lead contamination determines the next steps and whether the building can be restored or must be completely demolished. Environmental inspectors use bright lights, moisture meters, and other testing equipment to search for mold in the hidden places.
Psalm 139:23 says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Inspection is the first step in removing the spiritual toxicity in our homes and our lives.
Are we allowing God’s word, His searchlight of truth, to shine in every area of our homes, our dwellings? And after He has inspected and revealed, are we willing to allow His word to bring healing and restoration from the toxicity in our homes? This work of consecration requires obedience.

Shine Your searchlight into every room of my heart. Reveal any contamination that dishonors You. Give me the courage to surrender it to You and replace it with Your Truth, Your Holiness, and Your Love. Make my heart and my home a place that welcomes Your presence and is a sweet aroma unto You. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Those desiring to experience His Presence on a continual basis and to be used of Him will undergo regular cleansing or sanctification by the Holy Spirit. To apply what we learned today is to surrender daily to His leading. Yield to Him as He speaks to you in His Word and in prayer. Intimacy is born from obedience.
