2 Peter 3:3 (NKJV)
Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,
Devoción
In our featured verse today, we are warned that scoffers will come in the last days. Jude reminds us of the predictions from the apostles who said these scoffers are unsaved, follow after their own ungodly passions, are worldly-minded, carnal, devoid of the Spirit, and will cause divisions, thus causing some to fall away from the Lord (Jude 1:17-19).

Just as it happened to Jesus, we too will be mocked, ridiculed, and enticed to turn away from Biblical morals and values. Sadly, we see this happening today on a wide scale. Even many from the Christian sector have been enticed and led astray, some of them being Christian leaders who are also leading others away from the truth of the Word with false teachings. We cannot win them to Christ if we have nothing more to offer than what they already receive from the world.

You have probably heard the saying, “They are so Heavenly-minded that they are no earthly good.” But, in actual sense, where believers go wrong is becoming so earthly minded and not doing what it takes to lead others to Heaven.

In these last days, many will claim to know Jesus, yet have no personal relationship with him. They will turn away from Jesus, the Word of God, and everything he stands for. Sometimes when someone turns from God, they become the scoffers talked about in scripture, mocking and ridiculing those who truly follow God.
We will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ one day. To some, he will say “Enter in My good and faithful servant”, but to others, He will say, “Depart from Me, I never knew you” (Matthew 7:21-23). When you meet him face to face, will he know you?

Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,

I praise You because You deserve my praise. You are the King of kings, the Lord of lords, and the creator of all things, yet You still choose to love me as Your child. Lord, place within my spirit every way I can lead others to You throughout each day. Keep at the forefront of my thoughts what I can do and say that others will see Your likeness in me. I long to bow in worship before You one day soon, and I desire to take as many of Your children with me as possible. Lead me in Your wisdom, Father, that I may lead them to You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Search your heart today and determine if you have let any part of the world take root. Have you compromised and felt conviction at first, but now, you do not give that conviction a second thought? If so, confess and repent (turn from). Determine to make everything right with God so that you may lead others to Him in these last days. Don’t let time slip away.
