Ruth 4:14-15 (NIV)

“The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the LORD, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”

Naomi's story began with the loss of her husband, her sons, her home, and her sense of purpose. She returned to Bethlehem empty, calling herself "Mara," meaning bitter. But by the time we reach Ruth 4, we see the beautiful, redemptive thread of God's grace woven through her pain. Ruth’s marriage to Boaz and the birth of Obed, who would become the grandfather of King David, mark a turning point, not just for Ruth, but for Naomi too.

God didn’t just patch Naomi’s life, He restored and rebuilt it. Where sorrow once lived, joy was birthed. Where loss was deep, legacy emerged. God gave her a new beginning through the very thing she never expected, through Ruth, a Moabite widow.

This reminds us: All is not lost when God is in control. Even when our hearts are broken, our future uncertain, or our dreams buried, God is at work behind the scenes. His restorative power reaches into our most broken places and brings forth new life. No loss is too great, no past too broken, for the hand of the Redeemer.

Querido Padre Celestial,
Thank You for being the God who restores and rebuilds. When I cannot see the way forward, help me to trust that You are still writing my story. Just as You brought joy and legacy to Naomi after her season of loss, I believe You can do the same in my life. Heal what is broken, revive what feels dead, and give me the strength to hope again. I trust You, Lord, because nothing is lost when You are in control. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
