Rain On Me

Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.
Devoción
In our main text and several other passages in scripture, the Holy Spirit is likened to rain. Here are some attributes of rain:
- Rain brings refreshment to the earth
- Rain announces new seasons
- Rain replenishes wild vegetation and supplies moisture to the air
- Rain forms streams and rivers
These few physical attributes of rain can be likened to the spiritual attributes of the Holy Spirit. When He comes He brings refreshment in areas where we are dry, He announces new seasons in our lives and He replenishes us when we are running empty.
God promises to pour out His Spirit like He did before. This is the blessed assurance for anyone seeking more of Him and desiring the infilling. This outpouring is available for you today!

Querido Padre Celestial,
I thank you for the rain of your Spirit. I open up my heart and my spirit to receive a fresh outpouring. Come and rest on me Spirit of the living God. Restore what has been broken, replenish and refresh me. Let every dry area of my life receive a fresh drop of your presence today in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Sometimes in the physical, we have to wait for rain. The weather forecast is often accurate but there are times we experience delays in the change of weather. Don’t get tired of waiting on the Holy Spirit. It takes patience and surrender.
