Prayer And God’s Will
Sunday, February 25
1 John 5:14 (NKJV)
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
Devoción
Today we cling to the promises of God. How amazing it is that the God of the universe listens to our every word every moment that we speak to Him. He is the only one who is available at all times, and He hears us. He understands.
Many times when we go before Him, we pray with our agenda in mind, not fully trusting that His plans are greater and that His ways are higher. When we look at our lives, we live in the moment and just see the right now. However, God sees our past, present, and future.
It is time for us to call out to God out of a heart of trust, praying for His will to be done in all things. When we pray for His will, our desires become more in line with His desires, and we begin to see God at work all around us.

Married (to be prayed together):
Querido Padre Celestial,
Thank You for Your promises so that we can know Your will in Jesus. Somewhere between the Bible and our prayer time, we get a bit confused about Your will. We have so many things that we want so badly. We confess it's hard to see and hear what You want for us. Wash us, Lord Jesus, with the pure water of Your Word. Purify our hearts so that Your will becomes our will. Help us to be willing to set aside our desires for the better plans You have for us. In the Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Single:
Querido Padre Celestial,
Thank You for revealing Your will that Your followers be sanctified, and that I avoid sexual immorality, including lust. So, that's what I ask for today, according to Your will. Keep me pure. Help me to flee temptation. Your word says that I will not be tempted beyond what I can bear, so I pray that when I am tempted, You will show me the way out so that I can stand up under it. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Scripture is clear that it is God’s will for a husband and wife to be in unity under God as they put Him first. In his message, Pastor Craig Groeschel encouraged married couples to develop this one life-changing, marriage-growing habit: Pray with your spouse. Consider together, what are you not fully entrusting into the hand of God? Ask God to soften your heart and remind you to pray for His will, trusting that His will is greater, and His ways are higher.
