Praising God goes beyond singing songs at church, it’s a life filled with outward expressions of praise because of God’s greatness and goodness. It’s a heart bursting with joy, gratitude, and a desire to grow deeper in relationship with God. We praise because we know who He is. We praise him because of how He’s transformed our lives. We praise because we are in awe of His amazing love for us. We praise because He redeemed us.

Through praise, we can be blessed with healing, restoration, and forgiveness. Praise causes us to change our perspective. Instead of focusing on ourselves, we are focused on worshiping God and giving Him glory. Our burdens are light because our eyes are fixed on Him. If there is breath in your lungs, praise the Lord!

Thank you for the precious gift of life. Every waking day is an opportunity for me to praise and glorify your name. Thank you for fighting my battles as I take on this posture of praise. I give you glory and declare that praise is yours in and out of season, my creator and my savior. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
