Love Your Neighbor

Galatians 5:14 NKJV
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Devoción
Think of the areas you are involved in, the areas where you have influence… Are you truly loving the people in those areas well? Are you taking the extra step to show Jesus to every person you can? As Christians, not only should we be doing this, but we are commanded to do this by loving our neighbor as ourselves.
When we’re truly loving our neighbor, it isn’t always easy. It often means we are making the first move. It means we are caring enough about that person to do what we need to, even if it means stepping out of our comfort zone and going beyond what we would normally do in order to show true concern, kindness, and care.
Because we carry the presence of God with us, we have the strength to step out of our comfort zone, bring life and hope into the situation, and show our neighbors the love of Jesus through our actions and words.

Querido Padre Celestial,
You have shown me the greatest example of true love as demonstrated in how you love me. Help me to genuine love my neighbors, to care for them and speak the truth in love.
May I never withhold your love from those in need of it, even those who seem undeserving. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Aplíquelo hoy mismo
Love is not love until you give it away. Identify which “neighbor” you can love this week and be practical. You could pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while, buy a colleague a cup of coffee and catch up with them or help an elderly neighbor take out their trash. Demonstrate your love this week.
