Leap Over It!

Luke 17:17-19 NKJV
So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

In Luke 17:11-19, we encounter a powerful story of healing and gratitude. Ten lepers, ostracized and isolated due to their condition, cried out to Jesus for mercy. His response was an instruction that required faith: "Go, show yourselves to the priests." As they took the step of faith, they were miraculously healed. However, only one among them returned to give thanks and glorify God.
Reflecting on this passage, we are reminded of the devil's tactics to keep us trapped in our past, constantly replaying the hardships we've faced. The enemy wants to cast shadows over the brightness of our present and future, encouraging us to dwell on our pain and struggles. The enemy wants you to go over and over how hard your life was. But God wants you not only to get through it but over it.
When we allow the difficulties of our past to consume us, our light diminishes, and we become ineffective in shining God's love to the world. How can you be a light when you're always dim?
God doesn't want you stuck in the past. There are better days coming. God wants you to be joyful! Don't dwell on past failures. Don't let it bog you down but leap over them. Leap over those walls and feel alive again.
God's intention for us is to be vessels of joy, hope, and transformation. He doesn't want us shackled by the chains of yesterday's failures or disappointments. Just as the Samaritan leper turned back to express gratitude and was declared "well" by Jesus, we too can find wholeness by breaking free from the clutches of negativity.
Today, rise in healing, stand in gratitude, walk confidently in your faith journey, run in the freedom Christ offers and leap over the walls of despair and bitterness!

Querido Padre Celestial,
I'm grateful for the story of the Samaritan leper, reminding me to step out in faith and break free from the shadows of the past. I choose to walk in gratitude, leaving behind despair and bitterness. Empower me to be a vessel of your joy, hope, and transformation, shining your love brightly in the world. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
