Joel 3:1-2 (NIV)
“In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.
Devoción
The book of Joel is a powerful and prophetic work that revolves around the theme of the "day of the Lord." This day signifies God's divine intervention in human history—a day of reckoning, both for the nations and for Israel. It reminds us that God is sovereign over all of creation and will ultimately hold everyone accountable. Yet, within this message of judgment, there is also a glimmer of hope.
Even in times of trial and suffering, God's plan includes redemption and renewal. He offers protection and provision and serves as a refuge and stronghold. The "Day of the Lord" is not just about punishment but also about restoration. It is a time when God will make all things right, bringing healing to a broken world. Jesus is coming back!
Be reminded today that no matter how dire the circumstances may seem, we can embrace the hope and assurance found in God's presence. When we repent and seek Him, He pours out His Spirit into our lives, unites us as believers, assures us of His presence, fulfills His promises, and shapes us into the image of Christ.
His Spirit enables you to be an effective witness for the Gospel in a world that needs God's love and redemption. Live it out today.

Querido Padre Celestial,
I thank you for Joel - the man, the prophet, and the book that bears his name. Help me be reminded that the day of the Lord is coming so that it does not surprise me like a thief in the night. Help me also be reminded that you will repay those who are unkind to Israel. Open my eyes and show me how to be a blessing to Israel and to all of Abraham's descendants. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen

Think of a situation where you are seeking and waiting for God’s justice and restoration. In such stressful times, it can be difficult to keep our speech pure. Be careful not to contribute to the scattering and dividing of God’s people by evil speaking. Let God vindicate, and we pray, restore.
