Irrevocable Grace

Tuesday, May 13

Romans 11:29 (NIV)

“For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.”

Devoción

Have you ever felt disqualified from God’s plan because of failure, disappointment, or a hard season? Take heart, God’s call on your life is not based on your perfection but on His unchanging purpose.

Peter knew what it was to fail. He was bold and passionate, quick to declare his loyalty to Jesus. Yet, in one of the darkest moments, he denied Jesus, not once, but three times. Afterward, he wept bitterly, likely questioning if he had ruined everything. But Jesus had not given up on him.

After the resurrection, Jesus restored Peter gently and personally (John 21). He didn’t just forgive Peter, he re-commissioned him: “Feed my sheep.” The same man who once crumbled under pressure stood boldly on the day of Pentecost and preached a message that led over 3,000 souls to salvation.

Why? Because the calling of God is irrevocable. Seasons may shift. Storms may come. You may stumble. But God’s gifts and calling are not retracted when life gets messy. He is not done with you. In fact, your brokenness may be the very thing He uses to reach others.

Oración de hoy

Querido Padre Celestial,
Thank You that Your call on my life is secure, not because of who I am, but because of who You are. When I fail or face discouragement, remind me that You are not finished with me. Like Peter, restore my heart and help me walk in bold obedience. Use every season, even the hard ones, for Your glory. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

This week, reflect on any area where you’ve believed God is done with you. Surrender it to Him in prayer, and write down one step of obedience you can take today, whether it’s reaching out to someone, serving, or picking back up a God-given dream you laid down.
