His Convincing Love

Romans 8:37-39 NKJV
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Devoción
Paul, being well acquainted with trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, and sword brings weight to his statement that we are, in all these things, more than conquerors through him who loved us. Paul is convinced, and we are compelled to be convinced, that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Having been through all those things which failed to rip his faith from him, Paul is even more fervent in serving God with all his heart. Why? Because with everything he had been through, God’s great love had never left him.

Verse 38-39 is a testimony of the constant, ever-present, never wavering love of God that is unchanging in life or in death. No matter if demons or angels try to come between us and God’s love they will fail. Present circumstances or future circumstances make no difference in His love for us. No power can prevail against His great love, neither height nor depth - the highest mountain in our life or the lowest valley- there is not a place or being in all of creation that makes it possible for God’s love to be taken from us. We are and forever will be, objects of His affection. Praise God!

Querido Padre Celestial,

Thank you for your everlasting love. You are my ever-present help in time of need and you have promised to never leave me nor forsake me. Help me to remember and be fully convinced of this steadfast love that never ceases, in and out of season. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Meditate on how God has shown His love for you. You might start with how He gave His only begotten son to die for you, to how He answered a prayer, was with you through your greatest crisis and so on.
