Guard The Moments

Judges 16:28 NKJV
Then Samson called to the LORD, saying, “O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!”
Devoción
Samson was a man of integrity who was totally devoted to God for forty years. He had faithfully kept all the Nazarite vows in obedience to God. But in one unguarded moment, he was overtaken. His great strength left him, and blindness overtook him.
In today’s verse, we can see that Samson was no longer relying on his own strength to do mighty feats; He realized He needed God’s mighty power. He prayed to the Lord, asking for His strength to be given to him. God didn’t remind Samson that he had failed Him, nor did He say it was too late. Because Samson humbled himself before God, He granted His request, allowing him one final act of victorious service. God was so pleased with him, that He listed him among the greats in Hebrews 11.
Remember, the sin of which you partake will eventually overtake you. Don’t let one unguarded moment destroy your relationship with and service to God. Neither should you become the victim of a weak moment, to which you have surrendered. When you humble yourself before God in repentance, He will give you strength to overcome.

Querido Padre Celestial,
Even when I fail, You never give up on me. For that, Lord, I am eternally grateful. Father, I humble myself before You and ask for forgiveness, for those moments that I was unguarded. Please help me to keep focus on my relationship with You and do all I can to become so close to You that my guard stays up in those moments of doubt, fear, unbelief, or temptation so they will not overtake me. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness to me. Help me be as faithful to You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
