Goodness All Around

Genesis 50:20 (ESV)
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
Devoción
The Lord is always working in our midst, whether we see it or not. There are so many things in our life that are necessary, just as the scripture says it was necessary for Jesus to die on the cross and to endure hardship and suffering. The devil means everything for evil, but our God can turn anything and everything into good.
Looking back at our lives, we can all see the hand of God. We may not always see it in the moments of discouragement, but sometimes we need to look back so that we can move forward. We can look back and see the moves of God in our life, and how the suffering and the difficulty we endure has been necessary for God to melt us, and mold us to look more like Him.
In the melting, just like gold, impurities rise to the surface. God shows what is inside our hearts that we may have not realized before. He loves us enough to bring that to the surface so that He can grow and mold us to better walk in our purpose and sharpen our gifts for kingdom impact. What others meant for evil, God turns to good. Rest in that realization today.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
I love You and thank You for being ever mindful of my spiritual growth. I ask that You continue to grow me into the person for which You designed me. Even though it can sometimes be a dreaded process, I ask that You purify me and help me to rid my life of all impurities. Lord, I want to walk totally in alignment with You, whatever it takes. I surrender to You. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Take out a journal today even if you are not much of a writer. Think back over your life over the past 10 years. How has God been faithful? What have you learned? Thank God for the difficulties and for how they grew you, what was revealed in your heart, and how God came through in the midst of doubt, uncertainty, and hardship. He is the same God today that He was yesterday. If He came through for you before, He will do it again! Lay it all at His feet, and ask that God would meet you where you are and use whatever season you are in to sharpen, grow, and mold you.
