Joel 2:28 (NKJV)
“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.”
Devoción
This passage of scripture demonstrates the magnificence of God to do wondrous, beautiful, and impossible things in people’s lives that only His hand could achieve. So specific and customized are His plans that Psalm 139:16,17 says, “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” He carefully knits people, mentors, and circumstances together at just the right moment, to carry us to the next opportunity, the next door, to unlock His divine will and purpose for the destiny we are to walk in.
Even with these great promises, there may be times when we feel forgotten or that God has slumbered at the wheel. We must remember that though we cannot see His hand, He is still very busy working on our behalf. God speaks through Isaiah to remind us:
“Look up into the heavens. Who created the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of His great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights? Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” Isaiah 40:26-29 (NLT)
Be encouraged, that walking in faith, though the path may seem unclear, pleases God. Trusting in Him and what He has said is paramount. It acknowledges Him as Lord of our lives and our faith gives Him permission to fulfill His will, ‘on earth as it is in Heaven’.
The day of His visitation, His great outpouring will one day be upon us. So, get ready for a great ride. God has a specific plan and will complete all He has dreamed for our lives. “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6.
Today's Prayer
Querido Padre Celestial,
Thank You for the dreams, visions, and promises You have spoken over my life. Thank You that You have written every day for me in Your book and that not one detail escapes Your loving attention. Strengthen my faith to trust Your timing and Your perfect plan, even when I cannot see it. Pour out Your Spirit upon me, renew my hope, ignite fresh vision, and align my heart with what You have dreamed for me. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
