Fruitful In Every Season

Acts 14:17 (NKJV)
“Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

When a farmer plows and tills the ground before planting, he has to wait for the rain. It is rain that helps the crops to grow. In James 5:18, the Bible says, “ And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.” We are encouraged to wait for the rain to come. It doesn't come right away sometimes it takes a day and other times more. Sometimes the ground gets hard from lack of rain and nothing can be planted oftentimes resulting in stunted crops.
Just like the farmer we are waiting on God to shower us with rain. Waiting for answers to prayers we might have been praying for years such as the salvation of a loved one. But just like the rain, we will have answers to our prayers. We just need to keep on praying and fasting, keep on believing that God is good like the Apostle Paul said, and in His time He will come through. If we put in the hard work like the farmer we will be showered with blessings.
The season you are in might seem dry and barren. It might seem like God is far away from you, that heaven's doors are shut tight and His ears are closed. But the devil is a liar! God hears our prayers and bottles them up.
Elijah prayed and had his servant look seven times for a rain cloud. He had to keep praying until God answered, because God does things on His own time table not ours. (1 Kings 18:43-46)
You have to do the work. Plant those seeds of faith and then wait on God. Make sure you are planting and sowing spiritual seeds, not fleshly ones. We are witnesses to the world, and most of the time our lives are the Bible they will ever get to read. Get your focus on godly things like Paul talked about in Philippians 4. You cannot plant earthly things and expect spiritual crops.
So keep on living for God and His kingdom. Keep on praying, fasting and witnessing for Him and you will see the rain come pouring down.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
I thank You for the spiritual rain You have poured into my life, and into the lives of those I love. Please continue to drench us with Your spiritual downpour, that we may be drawn closer to You and be Your witnesses in the earth. Forgive me for my frustrations when I don’t see answers as soon as I would like. Help me to remember that You have a plan, a purpose, and a timing for all things. I commit to press into Your presence during those times and keep the faith. I give You praise. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Make a list of former prayers for which you cried out to God and He has been faithful to answer. Be sure to give Him praise for each one. Mark those that took much longer than you had hoped, and let them bring you a renewed sense of expectancy for those prayers on which you are awaiting answers.
