Jesus freely gives us the best gifts in the world this Christmas. He gives us the gift of eternal life, the gift of his birth that allowed him to make the ultimate sacrifice for us, and he has given us the gift of complete forgiveness as we walk in his light, and his truth. 

Forgiveness is often the easiest to receive but hardest to give. Christ forgave us freely, without expecting anything in return. All he asks for is our surrender, that we accept him and live our lives wholeheartedly chasing after him. 

This Christmas, allow forgiveness to set you free. Unforgiveness weighs you down and hinders fellowship with God. We forgive out of the abundance that Christ forgives us. How amazing that we serve a God who made the ultimate sacrifice for every sin we have committed and every sin we will ever commit. Choose kindness and compassion this Christmas. We have not walked anyone else’s life but our own. Thank God for His amazing gift of forgiveness!

Querido Padre Celestial,

I praise You for Your gift of forgiveness that was provided through Your Son, Jesus Christ. You freely gave him, and he freely gave himself as an atonement for my sins. I thank You that the forgiveness You offer me is mine to receive as a gift. Please help me to offer the same forgiveness to others. May I be a person who freely offers forgiveness even when I have been deeply hurt by others. May they see me not only forgiving them but loving them as well. May I be a prayer warrior on their behalf and may my example lead them to You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Who do you need to forgive this Christmas season? What pain or hurt are you holding on to that you need to lay down at the Father’s feet? This Christmas can be different. Ask the Holy Spirit to allow you to forgive out of the abundance that you have been forgiven. Watch the way that God will use forgiveness to break chains and bring restoration and peace into your life!
