Matthew 17:20-21 NKJV
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Devoción

In today’s passage of scripture, we see the conversation resulting from the disciples' inability to cast out a demon from a boy. Jesus expressed his frustration with the religious leaders due to their lack of belief. This was representative of not just them, but their generation. Jesus didn't mince words when he corrected them. His intention was to ignite a stronger faith within them. He rebuked them for their inadequate faith, and emphasized the pivotal role faith would play in their future ministry.

When confronted with seemingly insurmountable challenges, it's crucial to shift your focus away from the enormity of the problem and instead direct your gaze towards Jesus to cultivate a deeper faith.

A small amount of unwavering faith can produce remarkable results!

Heavenly Father, I come before You acknowledging Your sovereignty over every situation. I recognize that even a mustard seed-sized faith can move mountains. Forgive me for the times my belief has wavered. Teach me to acknowledge Your presence and power when confronted with obstacles. May my faith be unwavering and rooted deeply in Your promises. I commit to seeking Your guidance and empowerment to move forward in faith. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
