Come Find Rest

Revelation 22:17 NKJV
And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
Devoción
Notice in today’s focus verse, the Spirit doesn’t say when you have your life in order, come. We will never hear Him tell anyone to clean themselves up then come. He won’t say to attend church a while first or give tithes faithfully, then you will be good enough to come to the Father. No, He does not put forth any requirements you need to meet prior to your coming to Him. He simply says, “Come!” In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Sometimes life finds us tired and weary or just plain messed up. Our hearts can become heavy with the chaos life has dealt us, whether as a result of our own choices, or circumstances beyond our control. Listen as Jesus gently beckons, “Come to Me and find rest for your soul.” Then go to Him, submit and commit your life to Him and His ways, and drink the Water of Life freely.

Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
In answering Your call, I come humbly before You today and ask You to come into every area of my life. There are things that I need to surrender to You, and I ask that You lead me in doing so. As I humble myself and allow You to teach me Your ways, fill me with Your peace and joy as I make the needed changes. I offer you thanks with a grateful heart. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Have you prayed the prayer of salvation, but haven’t surrendered some areas of your life to Him? Do you have an addiction that haunts you because you know you need to submit it to God? Go to Him today, lay it all at His feet, and allow Him to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
