2 Corinthians 5:19 (NLT)
“For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.”
Devoción
In his message on Sunday, Pastor Franklin stated that Jesus was the incarnation of God Himself. Either He is God, or He is not—there is no other way about it. He revealed Himself with various names in the Old Testament, each with a special meaning. For instance, in Genesis 16:13, He revealed Himself as “the God who sees,” or El Roi. In the New Testament, He revealed Himself through the “I Am” statements, such as “I am the Good Shepherd” in John 10:11. He is also called Jehovah Jireh, meaning “the God who provides.” How many of us have doubted that He will provide for us, not realizing that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8)? In our rush to buy gifts, we need to continue putting Him first.
Without Him, we would not be able to enter heaven, for only by His name are we saved. There is no other name for salvation, because Jesus means salvation. He is the one and only Messiah, who will always be. Are you taking time this holiday season to put Him first? For it is by Him, through Him, and for Him that all things consist (Colossians 1:16-17). He offers us peace through the cross, and He is our peace; for He is Jehovah Shalom. Our sins are forgiven because He paid the full price.
The Lord made it clear that Jesus is the one who would save the world. It is through the blood of Jesus Christ that we are saved. It is through His stripes that we receive healing. According to 1 Corinthians 15, He defeated hell, death, and the grave. Verses 54–55 say: “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” Where is the sting of death? Where is the grave’s victory? They are no more for those who believe in Jesus Christ, because He has the keys to hell, death, and the grave. He has all power to save and even resurrect us from the grave.
So let us go out and tell everyone the real reason we celebrate. Let us tell them about Jesus and why He came. Let us share that they too can have peace with God through Jesus, our Savior. The Lamb who was slain has now become our Lord and King.

Querido Padre Celestial,
Lord, help us to put You first this holiday season, not getting lost in the rush of gifts and celebrations, but remembering the gift of salvation You gave us in Christ. Strengthen our faith to trust in Your provision, Your guidance, and Your eternal promises. May we be bold to share the good news of Jesus with others so that they too may know the peace that only comes from You. In the Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
