Romans 9:4 (NKJV)
“who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises;”
Devoción
Israel is God’s chosen nation; we see this multiple times throughout scripture. The amazing thing is, not only does God pour out His blessings and promises on the Israelites, but He also pours them out on Christians (Spiritual Israelites) who have been grafted into His Kingdom.
We have been adopted into God’s family. Romans 8:16 tells us that we received the Spirit of sonship and “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” What an awesome blessing it is to be adopted into God’s family, and to have God as our loving and almighty Father.
God has put His glory upon us, given us commandments, brought us into His service, and given us many promises. Through these many gifts He has given us, we now have the ability and responsibility to tell others about our Father, and about our Savior, Jesus. We have the honor to glorify God in all things and preach the gospel to the nations.
Just as young children will eagerly share every detail they can about their parents, we too (as sons and daughters of God) should be eager to tell everyone about our Heavenly Father.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
I thank You for adopting me as Your child. I stand in awe of Your glory! I surrender my life to You, not just with words, but with my whole heart. Lord, use me to serve You in whatever way You desire. Help me to preach the gospel to those within my sphere of influence, that I may guide them to You. Help me to eagerly tell everyone with whom I come in contact about You, Your goodness, and the second coming of Your Son. I receive Your wisdom and boldness, Lord. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

In yesterday’s application point, you were encouraged to make a list of those whom God lays on your heart to be a witness. Set aside some uninterrupted time today to pray over that list again, pause when you feel an anointed word over an individual, and allow God to give you wisdom concerning that person. Wait upon Him and listen intently, writing down any word you receive from the Lord.
Do not rush this time with your Heavenly Father as He prepares you to be used for His glory. There truly is no greater blessing than allowing God to use you to reach others for His Kingdom.
