Alcohol. Pornography. Drugs. Pills. Sex addiction. Anger. All these enslave us and leave us helpless – powerless to help ourselves. We don't clean ourselves up to follow Jesus. He bled from his brow to heal our will and from his body to heal our slavery to sin. There is room at the cross for you and your sin. If the sinner's prayer has fallen short, have you really cried out to Jesus? If burying the old man in baptism has fallen short, have you confessed your sins to others and received counsel and prayer from brethren?

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) If we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son purifies us from all sin. Bring your sin to Jesus. Bring your sin into the light.

Querido Padre Celestial,

I come before you, a sinner in need of grace. I have sinned and fallen short in so many ways. Forgive me for running away from you instead of running to you. Today, I’m coming home. I say yes to your will for my life and completely surrender to your Lordship. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. 

Ask the Lord Jesus to show you a path to deliverance and freedom – practical ways to bring your sin to Jesus for forgiveness and healing. Obey the leading of the Holy Spirit when the Lord answers this prayer for you.
