Beyond What We See

Hebrews 11:9-10 (NKJV)
“By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”
Devoción
Sometimes, we find ourselves in seasons when God’s promises seem far away. We pray, wait, and keep moving forward without knowing when or how everything will come together. Like Abraham, we may live in temporary stages before seeing the promise fulfilled. He did not see its fulfillment for a long time, yet he chose to live by faith and walk toward a future he could not yet see.
With unwavering trust, Abraham kept moving, waiting with expectation. Faith does not mean a timeline set by our desires; it means trusting the One who promised. Abraham understood that his earthly dwelling was temporary, but God’s purpose was greater than what he could see.
Where are we placing our hope and security today? Is it on things that will pass away, or are we trusting in what God is building? Our circumstances may be uncertain, and the road ahead unclear. We may not yet see the finished work, but we can trust the Builder—the One who shapes our future like a potter molding clay.
God sees the whole picture. His promises give us the courage to keep walking, even while living in uncertainty. Our hope rests in a faithful God. Let us keep moving forward, praising and worshiping Him, trusting His promises even when we cannot see their fulfillment. Our faith must not depend on what we see, but on the One in whom we believe. Let’s keep trusting beyond what we see.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
I thank You that I have a rich heritage. Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of my faith, and because of the promise made to Abraham, I have been engrafted into generations of faith. Because of this, I have come to trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and, like Abraham, I await to see the celestial city, whose builder and maker is God. For that, I am so grateful. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

When times get difficult or the future seems uncertain, remember the heritage of faith from which you come. Men and women who have gone before us trusted in God, and God moved supernaturally on their behalf. He will do the same for you. Read Hebrews 11:6.
