Be Strong, Be a Man
Wednesday, November 12
1 Corinthians 16:13 (ESV)
“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.”
Devoción
There has never been a greater need for godly men than today. The world is filled with noise, distractions, and pressures that constantly try to redefine manhood — but Scripture is clear: real strength is found in faith, courage, and godliness.
Pastor Jentezen in his message “Raising Spiritual Spartans” reminded the men, “Be strong and act like a man.” He likened it to the Spartans — men trained to stand shoulder to shoulder, never retreating, never fighting alone. They fought with conviction, discipline, and unity. Likewise, God is calling men today to arise — to be spiritual warriors who protect, lead, and stand firm in faith.
Being a man of God is not about physical strength or status. It’s about having a steadfast heart that refuses to compromise. It’s about standing guard over your home, your marriage, your children, your integrity, and your nation. Godly men carry the weight of prayer on their shoulders, the Word of God in their hearts, and the love of Christ in their actions.
When a man walks with God, his life becomes a covering for those around him. His faith strengthens his family. His example shapes generations. His courage inspires his community.
The world may celebrate loudness and dominance, but heaven honors faithfulness and humility. God is looking for men who will rise and lead — not in their own strength, but in the strength of the Lord.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
I surrender my life to You. I want to be a person who honors You and upholds Your commands. Please help me to be a light and a covering for my family. Cause me to be strong in faith, even when times get hard. I rely on Your strength, not my own—Your grace and not my wit. Please lead me in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Jeremiah 9:23–24 describes the shallowness of man boasting in his own wisdom, wealth, and strength, and that what pleases the Lord is knowing and understanding Him, who executes mercy, righteousness, and judgment. Think of how your relationship with God changes the way you look at the world around you, how you treat others, and how you are being shaped to lead. Nurture and guard your personal relationship with Christ. With Him, you’ll have everything you need for anything you will ever face.
