Hebrews 6:10 (CEV)
“God is always fair. He will remember how you helped his people in the past and how you are still helping them. You belong to God, and he won't forget the love you have shown his people. “
Devoción
Have you ever been down on your luck and barely able to catch a break? And then someone you know in the body of Christ chooses to reach out and help you out. Sometimes it can be a friend you have known for years or someone in the church you recently became friends with. God will choose anyone to help someone else as long as they are willing to help.
In the storyline of the movie "Ordinary Angels," there was a woman named Sharon who chose to help a father and his daughters. However, things took a turn for the worse when one of the daughters, Michelle, faced a health crisis and her life was on the line. Sharon pulled out all the stops, arranging not only a helicopter for the father and his daughter to get to the airport but also a place for the helicopter to land. She and several others grabbed shovels and cleared the parking lot of snow for the helicopter. Even a trooper went to get the family and made sure they would make it to the hospital on time.
Has someone been a source of hope for you? Have they given something of themselves for you? If so, how can you pay it forward to someone else? How can you show God's love and care to a person in need? Is there a need unmet you can fill for someone? In doing so, you can bring them to Christ by showing God's love. Don't be afraid to reach out to your team and ask for help when you need it. This is what the body of Christ is for. When you choose to reach out and ask for what you need; someone can fulfill the need.
Also a true friend on your team will not worry about the cost, they will choose to help you out no matter what. However, don't allow past hurts to prevent you from connecting with someone in your team because you never know who may be able to help you out. Especially when you are in need and don't know what to do, because God will provide someone to help you. Just be willing to look for help and receive it.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
I thank You for the times You have sent someone to help me in times of need, and for the times that I felt Your sweet assurance and peace. I value Your faithfulness, and as such, I long to be faithful to You, being Your hand that reaches out to others in their times of affliction. Lead me, as I follow You. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Take some time today to remember when others have reached out to you during your times of hardship and think of the impact that had on you. Do you want to have that kind of impact on others? Ask God to lead you.
