The amount of data that is created, copied, and consumed every single day is about 403 million terabytes (it would be equivalent to streaming over 100 million high-definition movies simultaneously). ‘Content’ is the new currency that fills the spaces of our lives that once were quiet and peaceful moments. For younger groups, they rarely have any memories that were uninterrupted by technology.
In Psalm 119:105, it says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
What words are you allowing to light or darken your path? Your content consumption influences your thoughts and outcomes. What occupies your mind the most?
Most people are choosing the easy, empty content.
Getting back to God’s word means to:
- Replace scrolling with memorizing scripture (Psalm 1:2).
- Replace podcasts with sermons (1 Corinthians 12:14).
- Replace your thoughts with God's thoughts (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Gold and silver are heavy metals. A silver platter and golden apples would be difficult to lift, just like certain words, at the right moment, lay heavy on the soul. For “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Take the scriptures in the Bible as the valuable treasures that they are; read them, meditate on them, and allow them to truly transform you.
God smelts the metal in the fire—patiently, diligently—until all the imperfections are removed (Malachi 3:3).
Release your time back to Him.
Oración de hoy
Querido Padre Celestial,
I ask for Your help to be wise in what I meditate on and let into my heart. Your Word guides my feet and leads me in the paths of life. I want to know Your ways. I open my heart to You. Please cause me to hear Your voice as I read Your Word. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Take inventory of the type of content that draws your attention. Start making wise choices that benefit your life, not just take up space. Proverbs 4:20-23 reminds us to give attention to God’s Word and to be diligent to keep it in our hearts, for it is life and health. As a result, out of our heart will spring forth the issues of life. Put life in, and life will come out.
