“Close the deal or close the door!” This should be our heart posture when entering something that looks shiny and promising on the outside. If God is not in it, we shall not want it. Approach every aspect of life with prayer. Prayer keeps our lives on track.

The Enemy does not want to see things built for the kingdom. But Jesus is our help, security, and success. Stay alert and aware (1 Peter 5:8) so that you do not fall into temptation (Matthew 6:13). God didn’t call us to lose and fall. We all have an anointing on us.

Raising our hands to praise the Lord, taking communion, and walking down an aisle in repentance to an altar call are all a part of spiritual warfare. We have to make sure that we are equipped and ready for the battle. When David was at the peak of his success, he became distracted and experienced destruction. He wrote Psalm 23 at a low point. But God knows how to restore. If He did it for David, He can do it for you.

Engage in the private battle. Do not be passive. Take up your armor. You are a warrior. Put on the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14). The Bible is our sword. His Word is our shield.

Step into new situations prayerfully. Spend time with the Lord when new opportunities come your way. Use your discernment at all times so that you do not stumble. Our battles vary, depending on whether we are in a valley or on the mountaintop. But one thing that remains is God, who is alongside us in the battle.

Querido Padre Celestial,

Thank you for giving me the victory through Christ Jesus and for equipping me with Your righteousness, truth, faith, peace, salvation, and the Word of God. Teach me how to use each one, that I may stand and fight my spiritual battles. Quicken me now by Your Holy Spirit. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
